The flat for hot days that doesn't look like a beach shoe. A woven upper covers the whole front and lets a little air through, while the back strap holds your heel so your foot doesn't slip out as you walk, which is exactly what an ordinary mule is missing. These are low-soled orthopedic slingback flats with a round toe, the kind you wear from errands to lunch without changing.

• Back strap at the heel that holds your foot in place, without the slipping of an open-back shoe.
• Woven upper at the front that gives with your foot and lets some air through on warm days.
• Open-back design so you step in and out easily without bending down.
• Rounded toe that gives your toes room, without the squeeze of a pointed toe.
• Low stacked heel for minimal height with steady support as you walk.
• Orthopedic flats for women that go with everything all summer: cropped jeans, a long skirt or a light dress.

Wear them with a long skirt or cropped jeans for an easy, polished summer look.
